All about me ............

I have worked in care and education in various capacities over the past six years. I am an extremely self motivated and hardworking individual with a strong sense of focus and direction. This website intends to as a well as tell you a bit about my self, it also intends to mark my achievements to date.

My particular area of specialism is special educational needs.  I have both a personal as well as career related experience in this area. My goal is to help individuals with specific needs feel included and achieve within the educational environment. I know this an attainable goal as I myself am a product of inclusive education having been born with Developmental Dysparxia. Although many may see this as a hindrance I have always thought of it as vast selling point when working with individuals. I have been extremely motivated and never given up and as a result I have always achieved my goals and got what I have wanted! This is an attitude I feel I could in still in others.

At the time I was diagnosed not a lot was known about Dyspraxia and it was unsure whether or not I would achieve or whether a mainstream school environment would be the best place for me. From a young age I always fought, battled hard and never wanted to be viewed as any different from my peers.

I always believed that with given the right support, understanding I was more than capable of achieving in exactly the same way as any one else. I also believe this is the same with any individual with specific learning needs.Despite at times aversion and uncertainty from some around me I was able to set my sights high and achieve!  I didn’t just leave school with one or two GCSES but nine. I then went onto achieve a BTEC National Diploma which was the equivalent of three and half A levels and a BA HONS degree 2.1.

This website will tell you how I have got where I am today. Being the successful individual I am! I hope you find the information that follows of both interest and inspiring. Showing what can be achieved through hard work and a desire to achieve what ever you set your mind to.

I have a strong ethos in that I believe a difficulty is nothing to be ashamed of! Neither is it a hindrance. That regardless the individual can achieve highly with given the right input.

Hopefully I can be the person to offer that?

Please feel free to comment and post any questions.
